Welcome to participate to a seminar focusing on leadership training in virtual teams. In Company Center, Zürich, we will host a two hour seminar consisting of presentations on virtual teams, leadership in virtual teams, team and leadership training and 3D game based online learning.

Johanna Bluemink, the vice president of TeamingStream, gain her doctor´s degree. She examined collaborative learning in the synchronous discussions of small group problem-solving activities in face-to-face and virtual game settings. The 3D game environment created a strong shared context for the distributed groups by engaging the players and reinforcing individual participation through the avatar activity.

On Monday 2nd of May 2011 NoviCraft was presented in the Simulation Day organized by Credit Suisse Business School in Zurich. The invited participants got an opportunity to touch & feel NoviCraft in practice in half an hour lasting demo sessions. NoviCraft was presented by Johanna Bluemink and our local Swiss partner Hanspeter Sutter from Budeco Business Development and Coaching.

 

News from Nokia & Microsoft collaboration set these two in front of great potential and at the same time great challenges. Something had to be done, this was told. Now starts the real work of integrating, discussing and acting. Stephen Elop and Steve Ballmer have the vision, how to make it real? The key question will be if there is ability to capitalize on the diversity of interests and perspectives. Are the individuals that are involved here, capable of developing collaborative relationships.

 

Being involved in the Finnish national efforts of exporting Finnish education has launced fireworks in my brains in the past weeks. Not only it is a question of exporting a product, but it is much more - something building on the deep cultural and societal basis.
